COUNSELLING

Counselling is a talking therapy that involves a trained therapist listening to you and helping you find ways to deal with emotional issues. Counselling can take different forms depending on your needs and what type of therapy may be suitable. I am trained in several different modalities and offer a bespoke service in which I will assess your needs and provide the most appropriate support. Most therapy takes place in planned, regular sessions which last for around 50 minutes.

CBT

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave. It's most commonly used to treat anxiety and depression, but can be useful for other mental and physical health problems

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. EMDR therapy shows that the mind can in fact heal from psychological trauma much as the body recovers from physical trauma.

SOLUTION FOCUSED THERAPY

Solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) places focus on a person's present and future circumstances and goals rather than past experiences. In this goal-oriented therapy, the symptoms or issues bringing a person to therapy are typically not targeted.

RELATIONSHIP THERAPY

Relationship counselling can help improve the way you relate to those around you and allow you to break free from old patterns of behaviour. I provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment to help you identify issues or problems in a relationship and find a way through those difficulties. Relationship counselling can cover all relationships, including couples, families or friendships. This can include individual therapy or couples therapy.

REFLEXOLOGY

Reflexology is a non-invasive complementary health therapy that can be effective in promoting deep relaxation and wellbeing; by reducing stress in people’s lives can be key in optimising good health and building resilience. It is a touch therapy that is based on the theory that different points on the feet correspond with different areas of the body.
